A Change of Scenery
The other day I walked into my classroom after P.E., and my view of the ocean was gone. In it's place were walls of bricks. My heart sank. That view has gotten me though a lot of tough moments. It's my instant look-to when I need to whisper a prayer. Tears popped into my eyes.
My kids followed me into the room. They cheered. They could finally see the work of the last two years out the windows.
And as I said goodbye to a holy place, they welcomed a new one: our new church building.
