The Worst Thing That Could Happen

I always sit mischievous kids together. That way, if they are going to be naughty, they'll be naughty to each other instead of victimizing the innocent.

Sully sits across from Hans. They like to play an I'm Meaner Than You game (even though they are best friends). Well, today they finally thought of the meanest thing they could say.

I looked at Hans today and his head was on his desk and he was pouting. Sully handed me a note that said, "Dear Miss April, I see Hans write on his paper everyday, 'I love Miss April.' He want to marry with you when he is big." I gave a little Be Nice speech with a Golden Rule speech tacked on the end. A few minutes later, it was Sully's turn to be so distraught. Hans handed me a note that said, 'Dear Miss April, I see Sully write, "I LOVE Miss April" on his paper. He want to marry with you when he is big."

So, I knelt down and said, "Well boys, I can't marry both of you. So, you'll just have to find someone else. Make sure she loves Jesus."

Bedjina, who sits next to the boys and is often in the midst of their antics said, "I think their wives will want to meet you, Miss April."
