I Believe in P.E.
If you know anything about me, you know I am not athletic. You know I only watch major sporting events for the quick biographies of players that sentimentalize their relationships with their hard working, selfless mothers. When I was growing up I hated P.E. with a passion. And actually, if I was the one having to run or jump now, I'd hate it the same.
But, I get to watch it. I've paid my price, so now I get to watch my students figure out how to work their bodies and their minds.
This week we're playing Capture the Flag. It's so fun to watch my kids learn how to form strategies with their teammates. It's also fun to see how they are improving in their physical skills.
This blog is called Everyday Surprises because I love to be surprised by God. This is one of those surprises. Who would look at me and guess that my favorite time of day is P.E.?? Not me.
