Dangerous Reading
I always have several books "going" at the same time. This time, though, I'm listening to one and reading one that are very similar to and very different from each other. One is A Year in the World, the other, Honeymoon With My Brother. Both describe the sights, tastes, and experiences of traveling in many countries and wanting to know the world. Right now I flip from Spain to Brazil, depending on if I need to do dishes or if I can lounge on the couch.
What is it that stirs in some of us the need to know different cultures and to ache to travel?
I find myself needing to put this book down... to turn that one off. Or, I will find my suitcase packed ready to see the world... forgetting that I already am in an exotic place waiting to be discovered.
