A Little Encouragement

"You don't teach expecting students to thank or congratulate you." ... or so I've heard from a few veteran teachers.

Well, yes... that's cannot be your motivation... but still, sometimes they do or say things that give you a little lift... that remind tell you that what you're doing is important to them and they feel it.

Yesterday I handed out little blocks so my kids could show me multiplication sentences. As I handed mine to Kerbyson he said, "Miss April, I know you love us." Then the children around him said, "Yes!"

That means I'm doing my job... and somehow, in spite of myself, I'm doing it well. It must be the Lord.
