The Playlist
It takes about thirty-five minutes to walk to school at my own lolly-gagging pace. But, to get to school in twenty minutes - I need to keep up the pace. So, I have a playlist on my iPod: fast paced songs that make me walk quickly.
A difference of 15 minutes! Craziness.
Galatians tells us to "keep in step with the Spirit". It uses the verb stoichew which doesn't mean just walk... it means to walk under the direction of someone. Left, left, left-right-left or Marching Band walking... following the music. When I walk to school with my playlist in my ears, I'm stoichewing.
So - what do we need to stoichew with the spirit? Well, let's take this all in context from Galatians 5. It actually gives us some clear lists.
