Watching.
A Sumner |
With our house, we inherited a Lilly of the Nile bush. The first year only a few flowers appeared. The second year, double the blooms. This year, I've been taking pictures as they start-start-start. Now popping open. Some have already revealed themselves. They transform daily. Becoming something new overnight. Only when they are fully open will they become a rich periwinkle. They have no idea what they are becoming. I don't want to miss a thing.
A new season has begun in my life, bringing with it great anticipation. I don't want it to slip by without marking each detail. It is a gift, this season of writing and stillness, of nature and creativity. I don't want to miss a thing. Because, I have no doubt that God is growing in me, something more than I can imagine.
