Garlic Sauce
If you are looking for a delicious, dairy free sauce for pasta or chicken... Here you go:
In a sauce pan heat:
1 clove of garlic or 1/8th teaspoon of garlic powder (unless you have a cheap kind - then 1/4th teaspoon!)
1 package of Mirepoix (read about it here).
1 cup of water (or white wine!)
Salt to taste
Bring to a boil and let simmer for thirty minutes. If you want to add more garlic, I say go for it!
After you let it cool for a little bit, blend it in a blender or food processor. Reheat if necessary.
You'll really enjoy the full flavor of this without the calories of a Alfredo sauce.
